the area and control the recreational facilities.
Many are
the characters of the village and the very names of
the houses stimulate one's imagination - Windy Rannets,
Moses Cocker, Pall Mall, Higher Derbyshires, to name
just a few. The population is very scattered as the
parish extends well over the Anglezarke Moors as far
as the brook at White Coppice.
